R&R product update 5 May 2022

Twice a month we publish an update on interesting developments and improvements in our WFM system R&R. In this edition, attention is paid to, among other things, clocking in the R&R Job App in combination with R&R Time 4, leave overview, DATEV payroll export and quality-of-life improvements. 

Bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements

Over the past few weeks, our teams have once again been hard at work fixing bugs and implementing (minor) quality-of-life improvements. These changes are all aimed at making your daily interaction with R&R even smoother. Among other things, we have implemented the following changes:

• In the public holidays tab of the payout, the scroll bar was not always present, something that is really essential for large departments (or on small screens). This issue has been resolved and will no longer cause problems when paying out for example on Ascension Day or Whit Sunday.
• The buttons for clocking in and out via the R&R Job App have been made larger so that the wrong ones are less likely to be pressed accidentally.
• Adjustments to the average spend in the forecast were not always saved, this has now been remedied.
• Notifications that an employee has changed his/her availability showed an incorrect date in the cockpit, from now on the correct date will be shown. (Notifications created before 28 April still show the wrong date).
• The tasks in the cockpit are now fully clickable instead of just the text.
• On the leave card, the indicative leave was not always shown correctly when employees were entitled to extra leave due to years of service or age. From now on, this will be included correctly.
• If the availability is changed by the manager, a notification is now shown to the employee in the R&R Job App.
• In R&R insights, shops whose realisation has not yet been determined are now displayed by default at the bottom or top of the table when sorted, so that it is easy to gain insight into them.
• R&R insights no longer displays a message about missing forecasts in the past. This ensures that the current turnover is clearly visible, even when the forecast is not completed.

New R&R Job App is live!

Our new Job App is live! The R&R Job App includes several bug fixes and a few usability improvements. A few employees using Android phones encountered issues logging in. This can be easily resolved by updating the “Google Play Services” app to the latest version.

Clocking in the R&R Job App in combination with R&R Time 4

Starting now, time tracking via the R&R Job App (“clocking in via the app”) can be combined with a physical time tracking system* in a store. This feature allows you to test time tracking via the app without requiring the entire staff to switch to clocking in via the R&R Job App right away. 

Because time registration via the R&R Job App only has support for productive clocking, this is only applicable in shops where productive clocking is used (clocking in, clocking out and break clocking). We expect to offer clocking in by department via the R&R Job App later this year.

*At the moment we only support the R&R Time 4 systems supplied by R&R. R&R Time 3 and other systems will follow soon.

Leave overview

The development team has started building the leave overview. This overview will enable the user to assess leave requests in one overview. The delivery of this overview is expected this quarter.

DATEV payroll export

In recent years, we have added export options for many Dutch payroll systems. We have now reached the stage where the first German payroll export is in development. We expect to give an update on this in the near future.
