In this edition, we’ll be covering “new budgets following the forecast,” new data in R&R Insights, a “did you know,” the upcoming launch of the new Job App, and bug fixes and quality-of-life improvements.
Last product update(click here for more info) we already talked about it, but in this newsletter we want to highlight how budgets can be changed and when changing no longer works. Basically it is very simple to understand; Budgets can be changed from already set forecasts that are in the future.
Of course, if you want to change the budgets for the current week, no problem. However, budgets can only be changed for the current day and days in the future. Schedules are based on budget and for the days in the past the schedule is based on the budget at that time. So changing a budget in the past has no added value and is therefore not possible.
The moment a budget is changed during the week, it will be shown in the roster and a more appropriate roster can be created with the new budgets. Both the original and new budgets are shown in the roster, making it easy to see the difference.
In the past month, we have added another lot of data to R&R Insights. For example, the forecast insight has been expanded to include columns of minimum occupancy as well as operating and opening hours. These columns are shown as of week 31 (July 31). This data is only visible in Insights after the forecast has been established, so should a future forecast be completed before the release, the data for that week will not be available in Insights.
In preparation for the upcoming feature to adjust budgets, we have also already added some new selection options for the current budget. This can now be selected for the columns Revenue, Hours, Payroll, Payroll Percentage, Productivity and Average Cost per Hour. All of these columns will show data as of week 29 (July 17), again this only works for forecasts made as of week 29 or whose budget has been adjusted.
To make things complete, Minimum Occupation has also been made available in advance for the current budget, so this combination is doubly new.
It happens that when the schedule is all set, an employee calls in sick. In fact, this is a daily reality. The moment the employee calls in sick, then his shifts expire.

But did you know that these services don't disappear? They can still be found in the duty roster and offer screen under the 'Expired Services' tab. These roster shifts can easily be offered through this screen and employees will be notified through the job app that there is a new shift they can sign up for!

It has been passed around regularly, but soon it will be here: the completely revamped R&R Job App will be launched soon! You will soon receive a separate newsletter with all the information.
Over the past few weeks, our teams have once again been hard at work fixing bugs and implementing (minor) quality-of-life improvements. These changes are all designed to make your daily interaction with R&R even smoother. Recently, we’ve been focusing on security and performance. While this hasn’t resulted in any visual changes, it helps us keep R&R fast and secure.
